{"id":12845,"date":"2023-06-28T00:04:04","date_gmt":"2023-06-28T03:04:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cmalaw.com\/brazil-law-no-14301-2022-is-published-and-institutes-the-cabotage-incentive-program-br-of-the-sea\/"},"modified":"2023-06-28T00:04:04","modified_gmt":"2023-06-28T03:04:04","slug":"brazil-law-no-14301-2022-is-published-and-institutes-the-cabotage-incentive-program-br-of-the-sea","status":"publish","type":"contents","link":"https:\/\/cmalaw.com\/homolog\/contents\/brazil-law-no-14301-2022-is-published-and-institutes-the-cabotage-incentive-program-br-of-the-sea\/","title":{"rendered":"Brazil: Law No. 14,301\/2022 is published, and institutes the Cabotage Incentive Program (BR of the Sea)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Law No. 14,301\/2022, which institutes the Cabotage Incentive Program \u2013 BR of the Sea, was approved by the President of the Republic, and published on January 7, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>To be qualified for the program, interested companies must hold authorization from the National Agency of Waterway Transportation \u2013 ANTAQ to operate as a Brazilian Shipping Company \u2013 EBN in cabotage, among other requirements.\u00a0Among the rules of the program, it should be noted:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the participant EBN in BR of the Sea may time charter vessels from a foreign company that is its wholly owned subsidiary or of another EBN.
