In this sense, the BNDES is inviting players of different  industries to express their interest in contracts for the acquisition of natural gas, so as to enable operations for gas production.

The  invitation for manifestation is addressed to every industrial company that are already consuming or that may potentially consume natural gas in Brazil during its operations, as well as other national and international companies interested in set up new operations that may consume natural gas in Brazil.

The information provided to the BNDES will not represent any legal commitment and will be treated under a consolidated basis by the BNDES, in order to maintain the confidentiality of each interested party.

Companies that fit consultation’s profile will be able to fill in the form for such consultation accessing this link and forwarding it to the BNDES, up to November 16, 2020, to the e-mail address industriasdebase@bndes.gov.br.

1) Opportunity to a Rig charter to Bacalhau by Equinor

Equinor recently released a bid for the chartering of a 3,000-meter water depth rig to initiate the wells drilling stage regarding development of Bacalhau field.

For this opportunity, the Norwegian oil company requires the rig’s availability in the first quarter of 2022. Besides, the rig shall be equipped with a pressure management system (MPD) and dual activity.

This opportunity is interesting, in view of the agreement’s possibility of extension. The expected scenario is that Equinor opts for a four-year charter term, including two extension options, given that Bacalhau field will comprise from 18 to 20 wells drilling.

Finally, in addition to the inaugural phase, Bacalhau project will have a complementary phase, which will start three and a half years later, focusing on North of Carcará area, acquired in the 2nd Production Sharing Bidding Round.
