João Alberto de Sá Barbosa is a partner at Campos Mello Advogados, specializing in Litigation, Mediation, and Arbitration.  

 

With over 27 years of experience, he focuses on judicial litigation, representing national and multinational companies, particularly in the infrastructure, energy, and natural resources sectors. 

 

He began his career at Shell Brasil and its subsidiaries, leading the legal practice in the Northeast Region and in Rio de Janeiro, and later serving as Legal Manager for Litigation in Brazil. Barbosa was also a founding partner of a law firm, practicing across multiple areas, including strategic litigation before the main State and Federal Courts and the Superior Court of Justice. 

 

He serves as a guest lecturer, and taught the Downstream Contracts course in the Executive Graduate Program in Oil & Gas (M.B.P./COPPE/UFRJ).
