IMPORTANT

According to the determination of the National Council of Justice (CNJ) and some communications issued by various courts, as of March 1, 2024, private companies will have the option to voluntarily register for the “Electronic Judicial Domicile,” a platform that centralizes, in a virtual judicial environment, the procedural communications sent by the courts, with the exception of the Supreme Court, to individuals and legal entities, whether or not they are part of the proceedings, provided they are registered in the system.

This digital tool is free and aims to centralize all judicial communications in a single platform. After May 30, 2024, registration will be compulsory, using the data from the Federal Revenue Service, however, subject to penalties and risks of missing procedural deadlines. For now, registration remains optional for individuals. Micro and small businesses will only need to register if they do not have an electronic address registered in the integrated system of the National Network for Simplification of Business Registration and Legalization.

The National Council of Justice has videos and tutorials to assist companies at the following address: https://www.cnj.jus.br/tecnologia-da-informacao-e-comunicacao/justica-4-0/domicilio-judicial-eletronico/.

We are available to provide any clarifications on this matter.
