Campos Mello Advogados announces four new partners
December 07, 2021 – DLA Piper announced today the addition of four new partners at Campos Mello Advogados (CMA), which has a cooperation agreement with DLA Piper. Renata Amorim, Bruna Rocha and Juliana Nunes were recently promoted to partner, and Camila Caetano, who was previously a CMA associate, rejoined the firm as a partner.
These additions to CMA’s partnership reinforce the strength of the firm’s M&A, Private Equity, Venture Capital and Corporate, Labor, Cannabis, Life Sciences and Healthcare practices. With these changes, 40 percent of CMA’s leadership positions are now held by women.
Renata Amorim and Camila Caetano are part of the firm’s M&A, Private Equity, Venture Capital and Corporate practices. Amorim has more than 14 years of experience in M&A, venture capital and private equity, advising companies and investors on capital-raising and investments over different phases and maturity levels of companies’ life cycles, in addition to various corporate and contract-related matters.
Caetano, who was an international associate at DLA Piper’s London office, is experienced in corporate and M&A work, with a focus on private equity and distressed assets. She advises Brazilian and international clients on domestic and cross-border operations in various industries, including electric power, oil and gas, retail and education.
Juliana Nunes is a member of the firm’s Labor practice. She focuses on Brazil’s labor laws, including preventive consultancy, HR support for global companies, strategic litigation, due diligence in mergers and acquisitions and intensive work before Regional Appellate Labor Courts and the Superior Labor Court.
Bruna Rocha leads CMA’s Life Sciences and Healthcare and Cannabis sector group, and she practices law in the area of regulatory and policy issues related to this industry sector. She focuses on providing advice in the context of non-contentious matters, aimed at mitigating risks and optimizing go-to-market strategies across Brazil or abroad, as well as analyzing clients’ existing circumstances and aspirations within the industry and helping them take promising therapies from the laboratory to the market. Her addition to CMA’s partnership reinforces the firm’s ability to deliver industry-focused legal services.
“As we continue becoming a more full-service firm, we have considerably expanded our M&A, Private Equity, Venture Capital and Corporate, Energy and Environmental practices, which mirrors the growing demand in these fields. The various changes to Brazil’s labor laws in recent years have also driven growth in that area, as well as in life sciences and healthcare, mostly as a function of the growing economic activity around the industry, the market, and clients’ investments in cannabis, clinical trials, digital health, and AI and IoT,” said Fábio P. Campos Mello, CMA’s managing partner.
