Author: Luis Bulcao Pinheiro
Shearman & Sterling LLP in London, New York and São Paulo, Harneys in the Cayman Islands, and Campos Mello Advogados in São Paulo have helped Banco do Brasil issue US$750 million worth of notes.
The deal managers hired Hogan Lovells LLP in New York and São Paulo, and Machado Meyer Advogados in São Paulo.
The issuance was settled on 20 March. The senior unsecured notes were issued under Banco do Brasil’s US$20 billion Euro Medium Term Note Programme. Banco do Brasil initiated the programme in 2017 with a US$1 billion issuance. The programme ended a three-year period in which the state-owned bank did not issue securities on the international markets.
